Better Send It Air Mail

Whatever has befallen Frank Stevens during this second tour of duty, now in the Air Force, he is not shy about asking his older brother Ed—or more likely, Ed’s wife—to remedy. The thought of seeing that thick Stevens head of hair nearly all gone is astounding. But as much as Frank asserts he’s worried, too, somehow he has a way of making it seem just a laughing matter…one hopes. Surely he can’t be serious.

On the other hand, the lure of hearth and home can sometimes turn irresistible—even to a young man fleeing any woman whose talk turns to the dreaded “pitter patter of tiny feet.”

I’m losing hair like a mad man and if it keeps up I’ll look like a cue ball in another two months, its no laughing matter believe me. Spose you could get ahold of some Glovers mange cure and send it to me 1st class or air mail, I’m really worried and no kidding if it keeps coming out I’ll have to get married while I still have a chance. Oh well Sugar loves me.
Think I’ll be home for Christmas at least I hope so. Have been feeling swell this last month but was on the bum a few months ago bad stomache again same as I had when I first got out of the Navy, just nerves, a month of home cooking and a parlor to relax in makes a lot of diff.
