Mercurial Frank Stevens is once again swinging from written wishes to be home for Christmas—or just to come home for anything—to insisting that military life is the only life for him.
While he’s at it, he jams up his brother Ed for details on their brother Bill’s purchase of a new car. And he’s not beyond snooping for the gossipy details he’s missing by being so far away from home.
Spose Aunt Lill is still belling around, spose Dave could be right? Maybe Grandma Tully had a nice man—Dad + Dave see eye to eye on that point.
Hope things are going along for you two, Ed should be getting well under way by now. Glad he is happy cuz I know now I’d never be happy as a civilian. Smartest thing I ever did was re-up in the Air Force. Bye for now kids.
Love to all –
Frank
P. S. Just found this Lebanese stamp for your collector friend.
Funny how stamp (and coin) collections got added to, from letters like this from abroad.
ReplyDeleteMy dad got a bunch of odd stamps and coins.
I had a good laugh at the price of butter quote.
