Up in Tully territory, in the north reaches of County Tipperary with the River Shannon, there was a waterway devised that brought goods all the way to Dublin, but once the railroads came through, the canal system understandably fell into disuse.<br /><br />As far as roads go, we've driven on some "roads" so narrow, they seem to have been paved over versions of paths once navigated by cart and donkey or horse and buggy.
