The only thing I can do to explain that is lift an oral tradition from the Stevens/Tully family. According to the family stories, when the family decided to all move from their place in Canada to the United States, those who moved sooner were able to make it to Chicago. The ones who attempted the move later had more trouble crossing the border as immigrants. That's how some of the Tully line ended up in North Dakota for a while. It's likely this older brother (if that's what Michael was to my John) made his detour to Detroit, which would actually be a shorter trip--170 miles--than to Chicago. Obviously, whether continuing on land or by boat, the family eventually joined the rest of the Tully clan in Chicago.Jacqi Stevenshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03471698670217119444noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5034998384799920884.post-33196496568879559842012-08-23T15:56:17.374-07:002012-08-23T15:56:17.374-07:00This is fun, Iggy! Nice connection...but as I mentioned to Wendy, I've got to be careful to identify the right Patrick Tully. It seems it all points to father Michael Tully, my missing Tully sibling. I can't help holding my breath on this one!Jacqi Stevenshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03471698670217119444noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5034998384799920884.post-61832016068364204362012-08-23T15:53:41.281-07:002012-08-23T15:53:41.281-07:00Oh, wonderful, Wendy! In the household is HER BROTHER Patrick Tully. Wendyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17863357756727783017noreply@blogger.com
