I think it gives a sense of explanation for all the things that families "just did." It can become quite trying to discern which of several like-named offspring belong to which set of parents--especially when some of those cousins were all born around the same time!Jacqi Stevenshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03471698670217119444noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5034998384799920884.post-12588905211721140442014-09-03T05:22:44.748-07:002014-09-03T05:22:44.748-07:00Well, you encouraged me to try so I took a leap ac...Well, you encouraged me to try so I took a leap across the pond to see if I could trace my dad's mother's family. I used the valuation and it appears they all came from County Antrim and one locality in general. My great-great-grandfather was born in 1851 and it appears he came over here in 1873 (according to 2 censuses - 1 says 1863). He married a Philadelphia, PA woman after 1873 -

Funny thing, all the names I found from "over there" were used in this man's family over here. I've no idea how to separate them out - but will keep researching. :)Intense Guyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08441598926026727682noreply@blogger.com
